The Brief
The new design is part of an extension project to create an open-plan kitchen, living and dining space. The brief was for a light and bright interior, creating a social hub in the family home. The Broadoak cabinetry is painted in almond and the light new neutral tone really sets the scene, creating a warm and inviting space. Storage has been well considered and the design includes a tall pull-out larder and built-in bin.
Designer's Tips
The feature island, with breakfast-bar seating, has been designed to help the flow and circulation of the space and has quickly become the hub of this family home. Lighting plays a key role in the design, with a mix of options for mood and task lighting, ensuring the area is well illuminated, especially in areas furthest away from natural lighting.
