Our customers had wide alcoves either side of a faux chimney/media wall and wanted to create a lovely display area for their beloved sculptures, books and artwork, with storage below. As part of the brief it was necessary to work around a boxed-in soil pipe to hide this and incorporate into the design, whilst retaining symmetry and style.
Bespoke Display Cabinetry

The Brief
The Solution
The shelving and drawers to the left were shaped around the boxing in, but the face of the drawers were left full width to ensure we retained symmetry for the wall and created an illusion of a wider drawer. Internally the drawer has a dog-leg so we retained as much internal storage as possible.
Key Design Features
Dividing supports within the shelving were positioned asymmetrically to add interest and to Crete a framework for the items on display. The units were sprayed in our in-house facility to colour-match the wall colour in the room for a seamless finish and extra long drawer handles in bronze were added as a beautiful finishing touch.
Top Tips
If you have inconvenient boxing-in for pipework or electrics we can create a design to work around the problem, which enhances your room and cleverly disguises the feature without compromising on style or storage.
