The Brief
A house move for this previous customer to Cotgrave in Nottinghamshire prompted this new kitchen. The kitchen in the new house was too small and not to the customers taste. The customer wanted a modern style and breakfast bar but other than that didn’t have any fixed requirements and was looking for some design inspiration and ideas.
The Solution
Working with the customer we designed a new kitchen. To make the best use of the space the new kitchen was to be moved and built in the current dining room area. This meant that some building work was required.
We organised the services of a builder who we know well and who had worked with Fine Finish many times. The builder knocked a wall down between the old kitchen and the adjacent space, blocked up a door to make a window and added patio doors where the old kitchen window was.
The customers choose the Second Nature Remo Dove Grey Gloss kitchen. The Remo’s handless design allows effortless opening, whilst maintaining a sleek, streamlined, uncluttered look. The worktops are Silestone Quartz and the colour is Blanco Stellar.
Kessebomer Le Mans Storage Solutions have been fitted in the corner units. The sink is by Schock, it is undermounted with a Quooker hot water tap.
In addition, we supplied and fitted laminate flooring throughout the ground floor of the house.
Key Design Features
The breakfast bar connects the two areas together, there is seating for 4 and the space feels open and social. The under worktop lighting is a nice detail with the lights being grooved into the worktop.
