The Brief
This customer has lived in this gorgeous cottage on the outskirts of Nottingham for many years, a charming property with lots of character and features. The kitchen was dated and the customer had some things on her wish list that she would like to have in the kitchen, they included an ornate mantel, a 1100 range cooker, built in fridge/freezer and an island with seating for four.
The Solution
A stunning blue, contemporary kitchen that fits perfectly with the overall style of the cottage. The units are Fine Finish Chadwell Grained in Storm Blue with concealed hinges and stainless bar handles. They have a contemporary feel and the heritage blue is perfect for the period cottage. We designed and manufactured the mantel. There is a rectangular central kitchen island, with ivory spice granite worktops and upstands plus stainless steel under-mounted sink.
A bank of units were built into the alcove, these have contrasting block oak cornice and worktop to match the beams in the kitchen. All wall units have been fitted with under cabinet LED’s in cool white.
Key Design Features
The bespoke, designed and manufactured mantel. The kitchen didn’t have this but we were able to make one to the customers exact requirements. It gives the kitchen a focal point, introduces another colour to the palette and houses the range from the customer’s wish list.
