The Brief
This customer had a fantastic but under used space in need of a complete makeover and remodelling to create an open plan family dining and entertaining area. The customer had a vision of what they wanted; a warm, open, light but cosy, practical, useable space, they knew it would involve a lot of preparation work to create the space they wanted. They wanted a wood, natural kitchen with clean lines to give it an up to date, contemporary feel. They wanted lots of storage, built in appliances, a feature dresser and matching utility units.
The Solution
The starting point for this kitchen was the Bradmore wood veneered door. The tone of the wood gave the warmth the customer liked. From there the design began. Fine Finish built a complete bespoke kitchen. The dresser unit in the dining area is completely unique and designed exactly the way the customer wanted it to match their kitchen choice.
As the bespoke kitchen went into manufacture at Fine Finish’s factory in Nottingham, preparation work in the customer’s old kitchen began which included moving gas pipes to the other side of the room, new radiators, tiling throughout, plastering and general making good.
Fine Finish built kitchen units, the dining room feature wall unit and refitted the utility room in the same style. The kitchen was fitted with quality laminate worktops and a chic glass splashback.
The kitchen has an under counter fridge, freezer and dishwasher. There is a super larder cupboard in the corner which is fitted out with a full storage solution that the customers choose and that was fabricated to disguise a soil pipe. Units were built to hide the boiler.
Fine Finish don’t supply appliances with their kitchens; giving all customers complete freedom over the type, quality and price they pay for appliances, making kitchens 100% bespoke and exactly what the customer wants. This customer selected and sourced all the appliances which Fine Finish fitted.
Design Features
This is a lovely warm, welcoming kitchen. It was lots of integrated, under counter appliances to maximise worktop space. To make sure the customer also had all the storage space they needed wall cupboards have been worked into the design.
